Remember the interview I wrote in one of my post previously? Yes. Today is the day for me to be interviewd as a "student photographer" for the newspapers. Went down to Braddell control station to meet the person-in-charge. The long train journey, lack of sleep (due to the watching of tv till 3am and having to wake up at 8.30am today), lack of proper breakfast (only have half a packet of potato chips) makes me felt a bit giddy. Anyway, when I was there, I saw a group of teenagers standing around. Approached one of them and just nice she was actually one of the seniors supposed to bring us to the SPH. Altogether, about 30 people applied for this post and the age group ranges from secondary to polytechnics level. According to them only a handful will be selected. Chatted with some of the people there, quite a nice first impression. Seems like a friendly and close-knitted team. At the waiting room, one guy took out his camera. By the look of it and realising that it cost $4000+, one could already tell that it was really meant for the pros. Compared to mine, really felt a bit disheartened already. Were also told that they won't provide the camera for work, we have to use our own so it's best to get one that look pro enough to take photos for events. I was the first to go in for the interview. Told myself that no matter what, I must never say "I dunno". Two interviewers were there. One to ask questions, one to take note. The interviewer asked me some basic questions at first like, "Since I've graduated, what's my plan?" "Did I ever joined any photography related society?" (which I replied no). After a while, he analysed the photos I took and asked more in-depth questions like "Why I choose to take that picture?" "What is the feeling given of the photo?" "Whether I know about exposure?" (Which I replied dunno) "Did you read up on photography on your own?" Compositions, shuttle speed and all the terms related to photography were mentioned by him, to which I just give a "huh, what's that look". Think he also knows I'm no pro. Told him photography was merely a hobby to me and now that I've more free time, I would definitely try to improve on my skills and read up more. Really thought I couldn't stand a chance since some of my replies were not up to standard but in the mid-afternoon, the gal whom I approached in the morning and make friend with told me that I'm under her team and to go for a gathering next week. Yes. Happy!!! One steps closer to my dream. There will also be a 3 days bonding camp but it crashes with my grad night. Hmmm. Have also gotten a response for a singing volunteering work which I enquired long time ago. Another of my dream might soon come true too~ Heehee.

Enough about the interview thingy. Let's talk about the career fair at Suntec. Went with Ly. It was so large the two of us just didn't know where to begin. We ended up being approached and signed up for two jobs there. One is to be a sales personnel. Basic pay of $1500 plus commisions. Another is to be an advisor for financial planning sort of like selling insurance that kind. For this, they started by letting us do the DISC personality test and went on to say they take in more people with the S and I personalities. Anyway, this job can really make big bucks. You get commission depending on how much money your client invest in. A few of them can easily make half-a-million a year. OMG!!! Before that, will need to take 3 different tests to qualify. Hehe. Also went to the SIM and ACCA and NTU booth to find out more. Think I roughly know which path I'm gonna take le. We spent about 3 hours there and after that we went for dinner at Crystal Jade. Yummy La Mian~ After our dinner, we saw that the fountain of wealth is allowing people to enter. So we went in. Walked around the fountain three times with the right hand inside the water. Hope it'll bring us some good luck. Also make a dedication with the machine to all the people out there. Didn't stayed on to listen to our dedication because it was like 7pm+ le and we have yet to go Bugis. Chop chop find the exit and asked around the people for directions and we walked to Bugis from Suntec. Hee. Save transport fees. Both of us bought something there. Ly and her dress and earrings. Me with my necklace plus earring set. Was a fulfilling day indeed. :D
Guess how much cans were inside and win prizes. We both calculated it to be 360 cans in total. LOL.
Upside down by default. Look at the date. Ly's idea~
 Wahaha. Tvs in water tank.
