The first day to my new job and I couldn't find my way in~ Although I've already saw the main entrance after alighting from the bus, I couldn't get in because the whole compound was practically all fenced up. I've got nobody to ask for direction because I was all alone in that deserted industrial area. Me so poor thing. Lucky in the end I decided to walk downward and make a turn and I found the entrance hiding there facing the small street instead of the main road. Chey.
Was brought to the reception area by the security guard there. His walking pace is so fast that I have to skip one step and walk two steps in order to catch up with him. Good thing, he realise that and slowed down for me after giving a laugh. I must have looked so childish walking in that manner.
Anyway, I was too early, waited for quite some time before I was being brought inside the main office. I was given a huge stack of Strait Times from July till current. A copy of Strait times daily is already so thick le, yet I have to flip through those from July till now to look for relevant advertisements and news. That's my job for today, tomorrow second half of the day, I will be assisting another senior and thus be given another job. Actually is easy money la, but then I don't like how the newspaper make my hand look so dirty.
The people here are mostly quite easy-going and friendly. They asked me along for lunch and chatted with me. One of the marketing staff is from NP too. Hehe. Lunch in at their canteen, not much choice of food as there's only one stall and everyone eats the same unless u specifically told the auntie which item u don't want. There's soup, tea or coffee, fruit, rice with veggies and meat. Felt like a primary school kid queuing for lunch like that. Lunch break stated is 30 minutes, but all of them took one hour too, so can eat slowly. Wahaha. Felt that the working pace la, the working style la is all quite different from my previous job. Dunno is because of the location or the management team.
