It was supposed to be another typical day at work, but this insect appeared out of nowhere and created such a big commotion. Pris spotted it first when I asked her to help me bring down those heavy statutory registers from the top shelf. After passing me the fourth register, she told me she saw a weird insect. It had a pair of antennae sticking out of its head and a 'tail' and it is greyish in colour. I wondered if the greyish colour is caused by too many dust covering its body but what about the tail? Or is it a mix breed like what Pris said? In order for us to take a closer look, she began to snap photos while I tried using something to flip through the files. We managed to get the above picture after some attempts. Of course, what we were doing attracted lots of attention. When my other seniors saw the photo, they were all frightened off by it. My supervisor's secretary immediately called the admin guy from level 15 to come up and catch it. Wahaha. Funny right, one insect only but nobody dares to kill it. It is so true when they says that women are afraid of insects. That guy came and with a spray of the insecticides, the unknown insect is gone to heaven~ With its dead body on a piece of paper, one exclaimed that it looks quite cute, another said that we should bring it to a museum, most were still scare of it while others felt that it is no big deal. Hehe. Kind of interesting to see so many different reactions just because of one insect.
Met elisa for lunch. Should be meeting her at the control station but spotted her somewhere else. Haha. Had a great laugh as usual. We had yummy BBQ Chicken Pizza. She was late for work because of the long wait. Hmm. Guess next time it should be my turn to go down her side there and eat.
After work, went to the 7th month festival dinner cum auction. My father's big boss bided for 3 bottles of red wine and one bottle of beer. He was generous enough to open them and shared with us. His wife saying that red wine is good for the women poured a small amount of red wine for me. Drank it. No bad effect but there is the sour sour taste which I don't really like.
