Catched this flick with Lis after work today. The scenes were gorgeous especially the chocolate river and waterfall. Other memorable scenes include the part whereby over 100 squirrals were assemble together in a room just for shelling walnuts. Kind of like those factory workers working on a line. The elevator that can go every directions is amazing too. Left, right, up down, up and out. Hehe. Not forgetting the Oompa Loompas. Whenever a bad kid has gotten their punishment, the Oompa Loompas would appear and sing songs especially for that particular kid completed with their funny dance moves. Wahaha. Funny lor. I wished I was in the movie. Haha. So fairy tale alike~ Actually the storyline wasn't that fantastic as it was kind of predictable but I like the way it portrays out the quirkiness of each and every characters inside. At every stage, it would focus on the bad habits of one of the kids. First is the greedy boy who can't stop eating. Second kid is too stuck up. She just won't stop chewing gums. Third kid was a spoilt brat. She thought just because she comes from a rich family, she can have everything she wants. It was so funny when she got kicked inside the trash bin by the squirrels. The last kid thought that he was a smart aleck. Of course the last kid who survived the trail was Charlie, the poor and simple guy~ Oh ya, how can I not mention the main character Willy Wonka?!! Dunno why, but I just felt that he bears an uncanny resemble to Michael Jackson lor. I can't believe that he's Johnny Deep. He used to look so suave, but what happened to him now? Argh~
