Jay Chou Concert!!! but I missed it la... haix... Really envy those who have went... but no point liao la... not fated to go this year... next time ba...
Anyway, today went for a one day work under Ly's lobang... The place we worked at is called Olio food industries at some ulu ulu place where we have to take a bus from Admiralty MRT station to reach. Didn't know that we had to wear white so the manager there gave us both their factory tee for us to change into. That tee reminds me of my sec skool old house t-shirt... plain white with a logo and oversize de... So, the job is to distribute flyers. Ly and i were both spilt up to at two different location. One at Admiralty, one at Woodlands. Before we left, the boss giv a short briefing... Learnt that a slab cake means a rectangular shape cake, and gelato is an Italian ice-cream... I was to stationed at Admiralty. Since it was early in the morning, I was quite energetic la, cannot stand still like that... keep walking around and give whoever I met when I walked pass them... Some were shocked, others were happy and thanks me, some were curious and asked some qns... But most were very nice people... Lunch was provided. After lunch, Ly work in the factory to serve the customers. Me and another gal went out to distribute flyers again. This time I went Woodlands. At the end of the day, we both agreed that Admiralty peeps are more amicable. Although it's very crowded at Woodlands there, but when u try to giv them the flyers, they'll jus shake their hand, or pretend they nv see u. The folks at Admiralty are more likely to take the flyers from you... Mayb it's because of the Causeway Point at Woodlands ba, people are more eager to went in to shop lor, so they have no time for taking flyer?? But it's not as if we were asking them to buy things or what ma... haix... dun understand la... One funny incident though. Someone actually asked me for my hp no to help her market some cod liver oil... Dunno y, but I really gave her my no but in my mind I was hoping that she'll never call... YucKs... Cod Liver oil... isn't that what my mum used to gave me when i was younger, telling me that it's good for health... That fishy stinky smell, that thick whitish syrup... I'll never forgets de... How can I sell something which I dun even like... Yikees... >___<
After work, my father came down to drove me home. We were being invited to his big boss's mother's 71th birthday celebration at a sudden notice. Though already super tired le, still faster bath and went down to the restaurant again. His small boss who has been to overseas for studies is really one funny guy... Keep saying funny stuff and when he knows my christian name, he even sang, "hao yi duo mei li de mo li hua..." in front of the two tables of people... OMG... I felt like fainting right at that moment... Then, he suddenly asked, "Jasmine, do u intend to further your studies after Poly..." I just kept quiet, coz I noe it's impossible la... Govt Uni, I'm not up to e standards, private skool, where got the $$$... Then he said, " NVm, u can giv me e ans nx yr..." Then, the big boss told me to study hard, he told me that if I wan to further my studies aft poly, it's possible for him to help us financially... Dunno what to say la... I think he's drank, so I jus nodded my head... but den again... I nv even think until so far... I jus thought that aft poly, can find a stable job and get married or something like that is good enuff le... hmmm... dunno la... everything is so unpredictable...
