Eh... went Mac Ritchie today with my parents. Not to run la, but just wanna take a look at the bridge that was supposed to be as high as the trees and build among the tress. If you think Mac Ritchie is just that small area and sure not many people will want to go de like what I thought at first, then you are wrong. That reservoir was so big that just walking around the circumference of it took us like half an hour or so and today's parking lots were full. We were lucky to find one space. Took a long journey before we finally reached our destination - Tree Top Walk. Walked for like 2 hours plus k... all those walking can just make up for the many months of my lack of exercising le... haix, news all that said this bridge is located at Mac ritchie hor, but actually it's nearer to Bukit Timah lor... Conquered every different type of roads le, stone road, granite road, wooden planks, stairs, and the worst part is the sticky muddy slope. Twice, I nearly slip there lor, it was so sticky that the moment u step on it and if u never move ur feet fast enough, u will feel like getting stuck there le... Overall, it was a great feeling, sweating it all out, being near to the nature when all around u were, trees, fresh air, warmth of the sun... However, the bridge wasn't that splendid as I thought lor, quite stable and not shaky at all unless people purposely go and shake it la, somemore, it was so crowded we can only just walk and walk, very little chance for us to just stand and admire the scenery... By the time we finished walking the bridge, I was already so exhausted that I couldn't walk anymore le... Haix, but we didn't want to walk back to Mac ritchie because of the slippery road, so we try another way hoping to go to the main road, I dunno how I got the strength, somemore it was raining at that time, but still managed to walk out to the bus stop... Ended up at Bukit Timah and even have to take bus 157 back to Macritchie to get my father's lorry...
PS: Although I've walked for so many kilometers today, it's still not as tiring as running cross country~ Everytime after running cross, my thigh's muscles will felt the strain and the pain, but this time round, I didn't even experience any muscles pain, just plain tired. My father was also as tired as me, but he still support me along. Mum was the fittest, she even whistle during the walk, and claimed to say that she can still walk somemore~ WhaO, she should join some hikers team or what, rather than stay home and waste her talents sia~
