Clementi today was crowded with people of all ages carrying donation cans and selling chopstick at $2 per pair. I'm one of them. Actually today's not really my day. Went control station to meet ly and sk when the sole of my sports shoe fall off. So have to went back again and change into another shoe. Later went back again to the control station and saw sk le. Someone approaches us to ask us to buy the chopstick. Instead of buying, we created a small commotion. CIP = Computer Information Processing?!? Of course not la, CIP is Community involvement Programme la. Hahas, funny la, like this also can mix up. So I faster correct him. Later, Ly came le and so we walked to the Pick up point at Clementi Town Primary. Realised that we were already among the 600+ people taking part le. This event is actually not only for Leo club but also invovle other organizations and schools. Collected our stuff and off we went~ Okay, so the chopstick we have to sell came in 6 different types. All 6 of them will make up a complete family of (Ah Gong, Ah Ma, Daddy, Mummy, Missy, Junior). Quite nice la, the packaging, but super hard to sell them off lor. Most of the people would rather donate coins and not spend $2 to buy the chopstick. At first, both my frenz had already had some money in their donation can le. Only left me, still empty. I just walk and walk and dunno who to approach lor. Getting rather restless until we three walk separate ways. Then I started to tell myself, okay, let me target those parents with kids. Hehe, they are the most likely people who'll donate right, so as to set a good example to their child and guess what, it works!!! x) hApPy lE, so move on to target those that have a purse in their hand and people who seems curious. Learnt that if a person see me and quicken their steps and refuse to make eye-contact with me, then, dont need to ask them to donate le. 9 out of 10, they'll refuse one. Supposed to work until 4pm, but 12pm+, I felt like eating le, so met up with my frenz and decided to call it a day. Ate at Mac, and later went back to return those stuff. The people there commented we could have done better, blar blar blar. But it's not as easy as they think lor. So many people also selling the same thing lei. Anyway, took some photos at that primary school. After that, went Mac to chat again and went to develop the photos. All the photos are quite nice, except for one monkey's photo. It's being mistaken for koala, rats, etc. -____-"
